Double-head wire benders

Double-head benders controlled in 7 or 10 axes

3D-DR double-head benders are modern CNC machines dedicated for three dimensional bending of wire from coils or straight sections. The machines have two (optionally four) independent bending heads which allow workpiece bending from both sides at the same time. It is of special importance while bending large-size workpieces as well as in case of maximum reduction of the production cycle.  3D-DR benders have seven, nine or ten numerically controlled axes and their number is dependent from the machine configuration. 7- and 9-axes versions are intended for bending wire from straight sections while 10-axes version allows forming of wire from coils. Regardless of the configuration and number of axes, wire bending takes place from the straight section cut to the size.

3D-DR double-head benders are available in three versions:

  • 3D-DR50S within the diameter range of Ø1.5-4.0mm and head span of 1600mm, 9-axes machine with four heads as standard for wire bending in straight sections,
  • 3D-DR120S within the diameter range of Ø2.0-7.0mm and head span of 1800mm (optionally up to 2400mm), 7-axes machine with two heads as standard for wire bending in straight sections,
  • 3D-DR120C within the diameter range of Ø2.0-7.0mm and head span of 1800mm (optionally up to 2400mm), 10-axes machine with two heads as standard for bending wire in coils.

The most important functions and advantages:

  • bending of wire from coils or straight sections,
  • two independent headers for bending workpieces from both sides at the same time,
  • impulse generator for manual inspection of each and every axis,
  • optional equipment in the form of two additional headers for supplementing operations.
